Ferdia Murphy

Born in Newfoundland, Canada. His mother is IFTA winning actress Charlotte Bradley and he is the brother of IFTA winning actress Ruth Bradley and IFTA nominated actress Róisín Murphy. Murphy’s first screen appearance was in 1997 in Disney’s Oliver Twist (as Colin) as a child actor. He attended The Gaiety School of Acting from age 10 – 18 before moving to Asia to work as a Muay Thai kick boxer. In 2013 he graduated from The Met Film School in London, U.K specialising in directing and screen writing. He later worked as an assistant director in film and television including Mel Gibson’s ‘Professor and The Madman’ and most recently ‘The Rhythm Section’ staring Jude Law and Blak Lively and directed by Reed Morano.
