Mimi Helm is a writer, director and production designer. As part of her honours studies in Screen Arts at Curtin University, she wrote and directed short film “Prior En-gagement” which went on to screen at Cinefest Oz in 2015 in the “Filmmakers of the Future” category. After graduating, she wrote and directed FTI funded Raw Nerve comedy short “Swiss Avalanche” which was screened on ABC2 and ABC iView. Swiss Avalanche also screened at Plymouth Film Festival (2017), Orlando Film Festival (2016) and Cinefest Oz (2016). She has directed a variety of other projects including a book trailer for popular chil-dren’s author Deb Fitzpatrick’s “The Spectacular Spen-cer Gray” and short comedy play “In the Beginning” which was shown as part of the Blueroom Theatre’s ‘Best of’ 600 Seconds Fringe Festival program.
